For a fragrance brand, selling a product is only part of the story.

Urthy, a brand with 5 product lines, 20+ scents, and a physical facial studio, has a lot to tell. For a Shopify store, that can get complicated quickly. More products mean more choices. More services mean more information. More stories mean more content to organize.

But Urthy didn’t want a storefront that felt like a catalog. The goal was something much harder: to make all that complexity feel simple, cohesive, and editorial.

That’s where Eurus came in.

Meet Urthy

Urthy Scents was founded by Jen, a formulator who believes every ingredient earns its place. Today, that philosophy comes through not only in Urthy’s carefully crafted skincare and fragrance products, but also in the facial personalized services offered through its Skin Space.

While the existing website was functional, it lacked the distinctive visual direction and flexibility she was looking for. That’s when she discovered Eurus.

What caught Jen’s attention wasn’t just the look of the demo stores. It was the combination of a polished design system and the free design consulting and setup program, which gave her the opportunity to work directly with the Omni Themes team to shape the store around Urthy’s own brand.

The challenge: Making a complex catalog feel simple

Urthy didn’t have a simple product catalog to organize. The storefront had to bring together products, scent stories, education, and services without losing the refined feeling of the brand.

And that was only part of the equation.

From a vision to a clear store direction

Jen came into the project with a strong understanding of what she wanted.

Through the Business Insight Form (the form that collects customer requirements from Omni Themes), she shared detailed information about Urthy’s products, brand story, visual direction, target customers, and the overall feeling she wanted visitors to experience.

Omni Themes team quickly got a picture of Urthy, from its product range and scent-focused experience to the clean, refined feeling Jen wanted customers to have when they visited the store.

That understanding became the foundation for the design process. Instead of simply fitting Urthy into an existing theme layout, the team translated Jen’s vision into a storefront structure that could balance rich product storytelling, easy discovery, and a cohesive visual identity.

When a traditional variant picker isn’t enough

Urthy’s products come in different scents, but Jen didn’t want customers to interact with them through a conventional dropdown or standard variant selector.

Instead, she wanted scent selection to become part of the product story. Customers should be able to see the available scents at a glance, choose the one that speaks to them, and immediately learn more about its scent profile and elements.

This required a more tailored product experience: One that combined selection and storytelling in the same interaction.

The solutions: How Eurus brings Urthy to life

Design consulting that starts with the brand

With the Free design consulting and setup program, Omni Themes team worked closely with Jen to translate Urthy’s requirements into the actual store design.

Clear communication was an important part of the process. Feedback was exchanged throughout the design stage, with one round of revision included before moving into the setup stage.

The result was a storefront designed specifically around Urthy’s product catalog, customers, and brand story.

Give different products room to tell different stories

When a store sells multiple product categories, one template doesn’t always tell every story equally well. As the project evolved, Jen decided to take the customization further.

In addition to the pages included in the free design consulting and setup program, she ordered three additional desktop page designs and more dedicated pages for showcasing different product lines.

This allowed the store to go beyond a standard Shopify theme structure and give different parts of Urthy’s product range their own space to shine.

Instead of forcing every product story into the same template, the storefront could adapt to the content and purpose of each page.

Utilize product page to sell and tell the scent story

Customized product variant picker

With 20+ scents across its product range, customers need more context than a name in a dropdown. For Urthy, the product page needed to help customers choose a scent and understand it at the same time.

To turn the vision into reality, Omni Themes developers customized the variant picker to fit Urthy’s specific product experience. Customers can select a scent and see its description and key scent elements displayed directly below each option.

This turns scent selection into part of the product story, giving shoppers the context they need to make a more informed choice, without leaving the product page or relying on the scent name alone.

A new & distinctive way for product discovery

Urthy has a lot for customers to discover. The challenge is helping them find the right thing without overwhelming them.

With Quiz section from Eurus theme, the store introduces a more thoughtful way for customers to explore the brand and its products.

Instead of leaving customers to figure out which product is right for them on their own, the quiz creates a more guided discovery journey, particularly useful for a product category where personal preference plays such an important role.

And that reflects the bigger idea behind the new Urthy store.

Every element has a purpose: from choosing a scent, to learning about its ingredients, to discovering products through tailored pages.

Beyond aesthetics: Where storytelling meets conversion

Product discovery doesn’t stop at the first product a customer visits.

With the Recently viewed products section, shoppers can easily return to products they have already explored while browsing through the store.

For a brand with multiple scents and product lines like Urthy, this creates a smoother browsing journey and reduces the need for customers to search for products they have already considered.

With Eurus theme, Urthy made the journey from discovery to purchase feel effortless. With a sticky add-to-cart bar, the option to buy stays within reach as customers explore the product page, so when they’re ready to decide, the next step is always right there.

But Urthy didn’t stop at getting customers to the cart. The cart upsell creates one more opportunity to say, “You might love this with it, too.” By surfacing complementary products at the moment of purchase, Urthy turns the cart from a simple checkout step into another touchpoint for product discovery and cross-selling.

To create more cross-selling opportunities, Jen utilizes the Complementary products block to showcase relevant products directly within the Product information section. This makes complementary items more visible at the point of purchase, encouraging customers to discover additional products that pair naturally with their selection.

The result: Performance speaks for itself

A beautiful storefront only works when customers can actually use it smoothly.

That’s why performance was another important part of the final result.

The redesigned Urthy store achieved a passing Core Web Vitals assessment, supporting a faster and smoother browsing experience across the site.

The store also achieved 4/4 on Agentic browsing, a metric designed to evaluate how well a website performs when an AI agent navigates and interacts with it, including how quickly pages load and how smoothly key actions can be completed.

Lesson learned

For Jen, switching to Eurus wasn’t simply about getting a new theme. It was about finding a foundation flexible enough to turn a very specific brand vision into a real shopping experience.

IMGadgets started in 2015 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, founded by Ish Chopra and Meenu Seda. Their first brand, Gyrocopters, was among the first in the country to sell UL 2272-certified hoverboards, at a time when battery safety in that category was a real concern for shoppers.

From there, the business grew into a full lifestyle catalog. Today IMGadgets sells under four brands: Gyrocopters (e-bikes, scooters, hoverboards), IMFit (home gym equipment), IMHome (standing desks, furniture, pools), and IMLoved (baby and family essentials). That’s a lot of very different products living on one storefront.

As the catalog continued to grow, so did customer expectations. Shoppers needed to find products quickly, compare options easily, and complete purchases without unnecessary friction.

The product page of IMGadgets makes good use of the sections and blocks built into the Maximize Theme team, combined with the stunning product images:

The Magnifier image zoom effect lets customers tap on the beautiful image and zoom in right in the frame, wandering around the image, no new page load needed.
The Labels & Badges at the very top of the page let visitors quickly grasp the key information & deal of the current product.
The Text with icons shows the key highlights of products and the store’s guarantee at a glance. Quick and effective.
The Specification table displays the key metrics smartly; this can be combined with metafields to show dynamic numbers for each product.
The Collapsible tab helps to answer all customers’ questions before they even ask.

Based in El Salvador, Tiendas MD – a brand that has been open since 1978 – carries women’s, men’s, and children’s footwear, including its own MD label and an official Puma collection. The physical stores feel like boutiques: warm tones, clean displays, nothing out of place. Customers don’t just come in to buy shoes. They come in because the experience itself feels premium.

For 48 years, the brand has grown to 65 stores across the region, becoming a notable women’s fashion brand in each country.

Then, the brand came the question every established retailer eventually faces: how do you take something that works in the physical world – the care, the curation, the feel – and make it work online?

The Challenge: A Live Store That Didn’t Match the Brand

Tiendas MD already had a Shopify store when this story began. It was functional. Products were listed. Orders could be placed. But Luis Ayala, who leads the brand’s digital vision, knew it wasn’t living up to what Tiendas MD stands for.

Tiendas MD sells footwear, and color is one of the first things a shopper looks for. But on the product grid – the page where customers browse collections – there was no way to see color options at a glance. To find out whether a shoe came in beige or black, a customer had to click into each product individually. For a boutique where color drives the purchase decision, that friction was costing sales.

🌍 The language gap:

The store served a Spanish-speaking audience, but English labels kept surfacing across the theme – buttons, badges, UI messages that hadn’t been localized. For Tiendas MD, a brand that prides itself on intentionality, having “Add to Cart” appear instead of “Agregar al carrito” was more than a small oversight. It was a signal that the store hadn’t been finished.

📱 The mobile gap:

Nearly 90% of Tiendas MD’s shoppers arrive on a phone – and many of them use mid-range devices. A slow or cluttered mobile experience wasn’t just a technical issue. It was a business problem. The store needed to load fast, feel premium, and guide shoppers toward a purchase without friction.

What Got Built: A Store That Earns Attention

A Homepage That Feels Like a Boutique

The Tiendas MD homepage opens with a full-screen hero image – a lifestyle shot of footwear in motion. There’s generous space around the subject. A headline and a button sit cleanly without competing. The overall feeling is editorial: intentional, warm, unhurried.

Below the hero, a collection grid showcases the Women’s, Men’s, and Puma collections. Product cards display in a portrait ratio, with warm cream backgrounds that make the footwear itself the focus. On each card, color variant swatches appear directly – shoppers can see available colors at a glance, before clicking into any product. For Tiendas MD, this alone solves one of the core problems they came in with.

Collection Pages That Orient the Shopper

Each collection page opens with a short editorial banner – a soft gradient in warm cream and taupe – that establishes the brand identity before any products appear. Breadcrumbs at the top of the page show the shopper exactly where they are, written in uppercase Spanish: INICIO > COLECCIÓN. That uppercase formatting was a specific detail Luis had requested; implementing it required a small piece of custom code from the Omni Themes technical team, which they delivered as part of the setup.

Below the banner, the product grid extends in clean columns. Nothing competes with the shoes.

A Product Page That Removes Every Reason Not to Buy

On the product page, the shopper sees the item in full portrait format. Color swatches appear immediately below the product name. A “Low Stock” indicator shows when sizes are running out.

As the shopper scrolls – reading the description, checking the size guide – a sticky “Add to Cart” bar stays locked at the bottom of the screen. It doesn’t disappear. The price, the size selector, and the purchase button are always visible and always accessible.

When the shopper taps “Add to Cart,” a drawer slides up from the bottom of the screen. Inside: the item they just added, a clear subtotal, and a visual progress bar showing how much more they need to spend to qualify for free shipping. The whole flow happens without leaving the product page.

Every label, every button, every message on the page is in Spanish. There is no English anywhere that a customer would see. The experience is complete.

The Result: A Store the Brand Is Proud Of

The store’s PageSpeed scores – 98 on desktop and 90 on mobile – reflect the work both sides put in. The Maximize Theme’s mobile-first architecture gave the store a lean, fast foundation. Mobile 2000 – A Brand Built on Standards

MOBILE 2000 started in the late 1990s.

The founder, Mr. Homoud Abadel, saw a real problem in the local mobile market. Prices weren’t clear. Products weren’t always trusted. After-sales support was weak.

He set out to fix all of that.

Years later, his vision had grown into one of Kuwait’s most trusted names in mobile retail. The brand built service centers, which quickly brought them distinction in the market. MOBILE 2000 earned authorized dealer status with the biggest mobile names. It became known for showing up – every branch, every customer, every day.

Today, MOBILE 2000 stands as a mature, system-oriented organization known for reliability, a wide product range, and a strong service infrastructure, built on the original vision of solving inefficiencies in the mobile retail industry.

That’s where the trouble started.

Start from the theme search struggles

The team was clear on what they wanted.

A theme that worked beautifully on mobile.

A clean design that matched a premium brand.

A proper support for Arabic, because many of their customers shop in Arabic every day.

Who is The Sky Balloons?

The Sky Balloons began as a small idea. Junaid’s wife wanted to start a part-time balloon business — something centred on celebrations and thoughtful surprises. Like most small businesses, the journey was not always smooth. There were periods when things did not go as planned, and the business was not performing as hoped. They chose not to give up. With 300+ SKUs organised across two levels of collections – occasions, product types, service categories, and merchandising groups like Best Sellers and New Arrivals – The Sky Balloons needed a theme architecture built for scale. Collection pages had to load fast, navigation had to be clear, and the browsing experience had to work without friction for a customer who might not know exactly what they are looking for.

This is where the old theme begin to struggle. Performance degrades. Navigation becomes cluttered. Mobile layouts collapse under the weight of deep collection structures. Junaid needed a theme explicitly designed for stores at this scale.

2. SEO had to remain untouched

The store had been live for a long time. It had built up search visibility, product content, and structured data that Junaid could not afford to lose in a theme migration. SEO was not just a feature request – it was the most repeated concern across his messages and his form submission.

The Sky Balloons’ palette – soft pinks, rose, teal, white, and black – needed to come through clearly. Junaid shared brand guide files with logos and colour codes. He trusted the team’s judgement on execution, but the bar for quality was set high from the start.

The Story: From Brief to Live Store in Under Two Weeks

The free theme consulting and setup program starts with a business insights form. Junaid’s answers gave the Omni Themes team a full picture: the target customer, the collection structure, the colour palette, the brand policies, and the design priorities. Design delivered ahead of schedule

He reviewed the designs and approved them without changes. His only addition was a request to select Version 1, with collections positioned on the top left.

One small update came on the same day as design approval: Junaid asked for a company’s UAE Tax Registration Number to be added to the footer. The design team updated the Figma file and confirmed the position within 30 minutes.

SEO preserved – and set up to improve

The design team reviewed the SEO requirement carefully before a single section was built. All SEO tools and content structures from the original live store were carried over into the new design.

The team also identified additional setup recommendations that could strengthen SEO performance beyond the original site’s baseline. During setup, the delivery scheduling app caused layout issues in the cart. If left unresolved, customers would not be able to select delivery times correctly- a critical part of the buying process.

The team applied targeted CSS fixes and later improved them when the issue returned after a theme update – to make the fix permanent. The WhatsApp widget also had a positioning bug that required a similar workaround.

These fixes were invisible to shoppers – which is exactly the point.
